An interest in the outdoors led me to study geology at the University of Maine in 1997. While still an undergraduate, I was provided opportunities to assist with glacial geologic fieldwork in New Zealand, and Antarctica. These early field excursions steered my interest towards the study of glaciers, their deposits, and their relationship to both past and present climate. Upon completion of my B.S. in geology, I stayed on at the University of Maine to complete an M.S. in Quaternary and Climate Studies in 2003. For my masters, I returned to New Zealand to date glacial deposits in the Southern Alps using lichenometry.
I began my PhD studies at Syracuse University where I was introduced to the glacial geology of tropical South America. Ultimately, I completed my PhD, involving cosmogenic exposure age dating of glacial deposits in Bolivia, at the University of Cincinnati in May 2008. The same week, I was hired

as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Geology at St. Lawrence where I am teaching courses in geomorphology, hydrogeology, environmental geology, and glacial geology.
My current research interests continue to revolve around glacial geologic problems both locally and in South America.
